Janice Dusek is the founder and CEO of JD & Associates (JDA), a professional consulting practice specializing in strategic planning, operational reviews, board governance and change management, management coaching and the creation of quality workplace environments. 

She is a management consultant with over 35 years of experience in health care, education, not for profit and the public sector. Janice has led strategic plan development for many hospitals, academic health organizations and community agencies. She has completed strategic plan development, operational and system reviews for the MOHLTC, school boards as well as for several health care and not-for- profit organizations, across Ontario.

Most notably Janice has led operational reviews and Strategic Business planning engagements for Northumberland Hills Hospital, Hong Fook Mental Health Association and co-led the St Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph review. She has led several organizational design projects, and in these projects, extensive stakeholder engagement; facilitated visioning sessions were held and robust balanced score development sessions with senior leadership and boards were carried out.

Janice’s consulting experience is supported by many years of operational and strategic leadership in the mental health, acute care hospital environment where she has been COO, EVP, VP and Chief of Nursing and Chief of Health Professions. She is part time faculty in the Department of Health Sciences at McMaster University. Janice serves as Past-President of the Board of The Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities (SCHC) and is a Board member of Durham Nuclear Health Committee.  

Janice is a Registered Nurse, who holds a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University, as well as a Master of Science in Adult Health Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is also a Wharton Fellow; University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance.
